The UGA College of Public Health is seeking an Academic Professional Associate to serve as its Public Health Practice Coordinator who will be responsible for all aspects of academic student field internship placements in a variety of settings including local health departments, state and federal government agencies, and other public health settings. The Academic Professional will also participate in the development of career placement services for students and alumni, and will be engaged in promotional activities related to the College and its endeavors. The Academic Professional will hold a faculty appointment and will also participate in undergraduate course instruction.
The ability to represent the College and its students with public health practitioners, ability to work with students in an advising role, and ability to serve as an undergraduate instructor are clear responsibilities for the position. A masters degree (with a preference for a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree), and experience in public health settings, related professional organizations are essential.
