The following information is from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation:
We need new generation of bold leaders who are experienced on the front lines, who can engage in scientific discovery and successfully maneuver in the policy and innovation arenas, as well as in boardrooms. Nurses must be a part of those leadership efforts. In particular, PhD-prepared nurse scientists, policymakers, and innovators are uniquely suited to seek and identify solutions to simple and complex problems that make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities.
That’s why the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is pleased to announce a call for proposals to support the fourth cohort of our Future of Nursing Scholars; institutions that offer research-focused PhD programs in nursing are eligible to apply.
Help us develop the next generation of PhD-prepared nurse leaders who are committed to long-term careers that advance science and discovery, strengthen nursing education, and bring transformational change to nursing and health care.
