On May 7th during the GPHA Conference, the Medical-Dental Section is offering a program that will include updates on the Georgia Oral Health Program, information about partnerships with the GA Dental Assoc. & Augusta Dental College of GA, and a recap of recent legislation related to oral health.
The program is scheduled from 3:45 – 5 p.m. at the conference hotel, the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta, in Ballroom E. Participants will be eligible for 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
Adam Barefoot, the Director of the Oral Health Program in Georgia, will discuss school-based sealant programs, community water fluoridation, and share feedback from oral health surveillance systems. Scott Lofranco of the Georgia Dental Association will highlight 2019 legislative accomplishments that may be beneficial for dentists (check them out) practicing in public health clinics and other safety net settings.
