The Georgia legislative session is drawing to a close, with adjournment expected by midnight on Thursday of this week.

This legislative report provides updates on the final full week of activity, as major pieces of legislation were being sculpted into their near-final formulation. The Senate adopted a version of the FY 2019 budget on Friday. The changes were immediately transmitted back to the House and by late Friday afternoon conferees from the two chambers were already working to settle their differences.
