The Walden University School of Health Sciences is offering a free webinar on September 27 from 2-3:30 EST entitled “Creating a Meaningful Life in the Aftermath of Trauma and Beyond Posttraumatic Growth.”
Presenters Pettis Perry, Ed.D. and Alethea Baker, PhD will discuss the existence of trauma as an epidemic in the U.S. and a pandemic problem globally. The 90-minute public service webinar series is intended to increase awareness about trauma and encourage help and support for trauma survivors.
The webinar series is for Health Care Professionals, Educators, Counselors, and Registered Nurses/Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. Nursing professionals will benefit from gaining a deeper understanding of the concepts of psychological trauma and how individuals, coping with the aftermath of trauma, may experience posttraumatic growth through their perceptions of self, others, and the meaning of events.
