GPHA board secretary and event coordinator Gregory Fenno earned Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) credentials at a recent training in Dallas. The annual training is offered through the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, of which Greg is a member, and certification is provided through the Graduate School of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Greg successfully completed the certification examination, and his CGMP credentials were conferred.

“While this training is focused on meeting planning and execution, I benefited most from topics such as risk management and the in-depth concentration on Federal and State travel and meeting regulations. As GPHA grows, this information will be helpful in addressing the needs of our members.”

The Society of Government Meeting Professionals is comprised of over 3,600 members, and has accredited 172 Certified Government Meeting Professionals.
