Epidemiology Section Hosts Virtual Workshop May 1st on Informatics and Infectious Disease Models


The Georgia Public Health Association’s Epidemiology Section is hosting a virtual workshop on public health informatics and infectious disease modeling on Thursday, May 1 from 9a.m. – 12 p.m. EST.

Offered in collaboration with the Emory Center for Infectious Disease Modeling & Analytics and Training Hub (CIDMATH), this free, online workshop will present much of the same information that would have been included in the pre-conference workshop originally scheduled before the 2025 GPHA conference. This session will introduce attendees to the basics of infectious disease models and include an interactive simulation exercise designed to link traditional case investigations and predictive modeling via a fictitious infectious disease outbreak.

Pre-registration is required and will be capped at 60 participants. We encourage anyone working in epidemiology, disease investigation or informatics to register! Registration is open to all GPHA members. Please use the link below to register:
