Informational Meeting Set for December

Location changed! The meeting location has been changed to the Religious Life Center.  Please follow the directions below.

Due to the cancellation of the 79th Annual Meeting and Conference, there will be an informational meeting of the Georgia Public Health Association held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 on the Macon campus of Mercer University.  There will be no registration fee.  The executive board will meet from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the general session will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Board elections will be held and GPHA president W. Douglas Skelton, M.D., will address the membership.  Only paid and honorary members are eligible to vote.  The meeting will conclude at 3:00 p.m.

The GPHA meeting will be held in the Religious Life Center at Mercer University. Enter the Religious Life Center through the main doors (facing College Street) and the meeting will be held at the end of the entrance corridor. Signs will be posted.

Directions to the Religious Life Center:

From I-75 North-bound (from Florida)

  • From I-75 North, take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
  • Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Mercer University Drive
  • Turn left at the second traffic light onto College Street
  • The Religious Life Center is on the left just past the tennis center
  • Parking is available on the left, between the tennis center and the Religious Life Center
  • Additional parking is available behind the Religious Life Center.  Turn left at the stop sign and proceed into the Science Center parking area. Parking decals will not be needed, as students are out for holidays.

From I-75 South-bound (from Atlanta)

  • From I-75 South, take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
  • Turn left at the top of the ramp onto Mercer University Drive and cross over I-75
  • Turn left at the second traffic light onto College Street
  • The Religious Life Center is on the left just past the tennis center
  • Parking is available on the left, between the tennis center and the Religious Life Center
  • Additional parking is available behind the Religious Life Center.  Turn left at the stop sign and proceed into the Science Center parking area. Parking decals will not be needed, as students are out for holidays.

From I-16 West-bound into Macon (from Savannah)

  • Take I-16 West until it merges with I-75 South
  • From I-75 South, take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
  • Turn left at the top of the ramp onto Mercer University Drive and cross over I-75
  • Turn left at the second traffic light onto College Street
  • The Religious Life Center is on the left just past the tennis center
  • Parking is available on the left, between the tennis center and the Religious Life Center
