Representative John Carson (R-Marietta) has been named GPHA Legislator of the Year for 2018. Carson worked to ensure passage of the distracted driving law, which took effect last July. The law made it illegal for motorists in Georgia to handle cell phones while driving.

The award was presented by GPHA President Colin Smith during the 90th Annual GPHA Conference, May 8th in Atlanta.
