Now Hiring: Director, Community Health Information and Promotions


Office Description:
Using a community needs assessment already completed for the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority (FDHA), the Authority is developing a Community Health Awareness office. It will be the mission of this office to help The FDHA turn this analysis into actionable items. We are looking for a dynamic individual for the lead position in this office. That individual will work under the CEO to collate, organize and maintain a database that defines the healthcare needs of the community, particularly the medically underserved. In addition, this individual will be responsible for assisting the Authority and the CEO in assessing the impact of its policies on population health measures and offering guidance regarding those policies and resource management. This individual will also be responsible for preparation of presentations to the Authority and to related governmental agencies. The position will supervise one staff member, program consultants, and interns, as needed.

Job requirements:
A master’s degree in bioinformatics, epidemiology, statistics or public health, and including a minimum of three years experience working in a related field. Special consideration will be given to experience in health outcomes assessment.

Additional requirements:
*Knowledge and experience with a variety of analytical and word processing tools
*Strong background in database use and development
*Demonstrated competence working with Geographic Information Systems
*Outstanding communication skills (oral and writing)
*Experience working with diverse populations
*Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
*Ability to develop strategies for analysis independently
